Bruschetta with spicy sardines
Ingredients:
- 1-2 cans Papa Anzóis sardines in olive oil with Malagueta chili pepper (#3)
- Toasted slices of traditional bread
- Cherry tomatoes
- Onion
- Basil leaves
- Chopped garlic pieces
- Pepper and salt to taste
Cut the bread into large slices. Open a can of sardines and pour some oil from it on the bread. Place the bread on the grill or pan to toast. When it starts to brown, place the chopped garlic, onion and cherry tomatoes on top of the bread. Leave for a few more minutes until the tomatoes begin to release their juices. Season with pepper and salt to taste. Place the room temperature sardines on the bread, drizzle with a little more oil and sprinkle with basil.
Enjoy with good wine or water flavored with seasonal fruit.
