✅ 1 sheet of puff pastry
✅ 2-3 cans of Portuguese sardines in olive oil (drained, chopped)
✅ 3 eggs
✅ ½ cup of cream
✅ ½ cup of milk
✅ ½ cup grated cheese (São Jorge, Džiugas or Gruyère)
✅ ½ small red onion (thinly sliced)
✅ 1 small zucchini (thinly sliced)
✅ ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
✅ ½ teaspoon oregano
✅ Salt, pepper to taste
✅ Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Production process:

 

1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 190°C.
2️⃣ Place the puff pastry in a baking dish, prick with a fork and bake for 10 minutes.
3️⃣ Mix eggs, cream, milk, spices and grated cheese in a bowl.
4️⃣ Arrange the chopped sardines, zucchini and onion slices on the toasted base.
5️⃣ Pour in the egg mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes until the filling is set.
6️⃣ Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.

2️⃣ Toast with sardines, avocado and pickled onions

✅ 2-4 slices of rye bread
✅ 1-2 cans of Portuguese sardines in olive oil (drained)

✅ 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
